Salt film is the reason Ponte Vedra windows look hazy a few weeks after a rain. It dries on the glass and grabs sand and dust. We clean the glass, frames and sills with pure water that has been filtered of its minerals, which dissolves the salt and dries spot-free with no soap residue to attract the next layer.

Houses on or near the ocean are good candidates for a recurring schedule, because the salt comes back on its own timetable. A one-time clean works too. If ocean-facing glass has pitting or old mineral etching, a wash will not remove it, and Will points it out before he starts.
